Even if the morrow is barren of promises, nothing shall forestall my return, to become the dew that quenches the land, to spare the sands, the seas, the skies...I offer thee this silent sacrifice...

A problem I encountered and how I solved it (Eng. Assignment)

Just this morning, I woke up early, changed my clothes and turned on the computer. Just as I was about the turn on the internet browser, my Mom asked me to hang up the clothes on the poles in the dining room. Reuctantly, I Took the clothes out of the washing machine and hung them on the poles.

After finishing my assigned task, I went back to the computer, only to find it off! I repeatedly pushed the "turn-on" button but to no avail. Assuming that the computer had no more power, I switched on the charger and plugged it in, and to my horror, the computer began to smoke! Smoke came out of the side of the computer non-stop until I pulled out the charger.
(Smoke not really visible in picture)
Now that I had "fried" the internal circuits of my computer, I could no longer do a video chat with my Dad who is overseas at the moment! Many of my online assignments and games I'd downloaded could no longer be played! I had to think of something to do to fix this or both my Mom and Dad would be mad at me for "destroying" the only source of communication between them...

That was when I remembered the other extremely old laptop that was stashed somewhere in the study room. Afer digging through the boxes and shelves, I managed to find it! I had to reinstall our internet program onto it, then go online once more to install "Skype", a free program which enabled you to make video calls to other people using the smae program!

Thanks to this, my problems are solved! But how to explain the "Fried" computer...I guess I'll have to come clean...
