It's rare that I get to be alone to do something I enjoy due to amount of homework given by teachers and my Mom, but just yesterday, I got some time to myself, and so, I took the chance to read a comic book lent to me by my friend Reefver. I've recently started reading comics again and they surprisingly have some sort of appeal to me now...anyways, the comic I've started reading is titled "Death Note", a Japanese written comic.

"Death Note" is basically about a youth named Light who finds a book belonging to a Shinigami, a Death God, he then uses the book to cleanse the earth of all evil by writing the names of criminals into the book. By doing this, the criminals will die of heart-attacks within 40 seconds. What makes it interesting is the suspense when the police attempt to track down Light and what the characters, Detective L and Light, do to outwit each other.
After reading the comic, I decided to find out more about "Death Note", I went online to search and found out alot of information like the authors of the book and ow it was turned into a video game and animaed series. Here's the website, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_note.
I then went to Youtube.com to watch the animated series, and I've got to say, now I understand why my classmates love watching Japanese anime. The way the backgrounds and characters are designed are spectacular, the special effects are amazing and you will not believe that this was all done by drawing and then scanned into the computer!

I've uploaded a picture of one of the illustrators of Death Note on to this blog. Hopefully, tomorrow, I'll be able to get some more "Death Note" comics from Reefver.
In the end, almost all of the main characters die. Tragic.
